Hello from Lisa!
Hello everyone!
My name is Lisa Allen, and this is my final term in the MET program. Along with this course, I am also taking ETEC 590.
Professionally, I work as an Administrator in the Faculty of Arts at UBC full-time. My department has been integrating a lot of e-learning into the delivery of courses as well as within the administrative structure of the unit. The program, thus far, has exceeded my expectations and i’ve learned so much. However, I have been looking forward to taking this particular course for a long time – namely because I consider myself as having an entrepreneurial mind and am fascinated my emerging market trends and ventures (especially in technologies).
Personally, I live in White Rock, BC and am training for a 1/2 marathon in October – so when I am not working, studying, or commuting, I am jogging laps around the track.
Looking forward to working with you all and coming up with some creative ventures this term!
Cheers,
Lisa Allen

Hey Lisa,
Marathon running….good for you. I can’t run on concrete, but love the track.
Where is the marathon in October?
Looking foward to the semester.

Hi Regen,
The 1/2 marathon is in Kelowna. I did it last year as well – I like it because there are no hills! Hills are my enemy when it comes to running. Hoping to run it in 2 hours 30 minutes this year!
Looking forward to working with you this term!
